Host Jimmy Kimmel on Monday (May 1) delivered an emotional opening monologue on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, as the 49-year-old comedian speaks up about his newborn son’s health complications.
Kimmel opened the late-night show fighting back his tears as he began sharing news about his son who needed an open-heart surgery after a heart phonogram revealed that his baby wasn’t getting enough oxygen into his blood. He recounted the “terrifying” moment, and “longest three hours” of his life during the 13-minute monologue.
