Though Judy Ann Santos has been hard at work to lose the baby weight, she prefers to take her time.
“Gusto ko lang bumalik sa katawang lupa ko!” she exclaimed when asked by the press about getting back to her pre-pregnancy weight.
“Lahat na yata ginagawa ko,” recounts the 38-year-old mom of three laughingly during a press conferences, as reported by PEP.
Though she’s getting back on track with the help of the Cohen diet, she still can’t go all out since she’s still breastfeeding.
As for exercise, she shares that she swims twice or thrice a week. “Nagwo-walking kami ni Luna sa umaga, at kung anuman ang puwedeng gawin basta huwag lang matengga. Nagka-cardio pero paunti-unti.”
(Luna and I walk every morning, and I do anything to keep active. I also do cardio but I’m pacing myself.)

“Ayaw ko rin biglain ‘yong katawan ko kasi nga hindi ko alam ang tamang paraan ng pagbabalik ng workout kapag galing ka sa cesarean,” she confided.
(I don’t want to strain my body because I’m not sure what the right way is to get back to working out after a cesarean section.)
But more than wanting to look good, her goal, now that she’s a mom, is to become fit and stronger.
“Basta maibalik ko lang ‘yong weight ko before, kung gaano ako ka-fit before I got pregnant [with Luna],” she said.
(Just as long as I regain my weight and how fit I was before I got pregnant with Luna.)

More than a trimmer waistline she wants to get more energy to be able to keep up with her kids, so she’ll be able to fully enjoy bonding and playing with them.
She believes a slim body is useless if her energy is low.
“So, ang mas goal ko ngayon ay mas maging healthy, stronger,” emphasizes the devoted mom.

She refuses to pressure herself to reaching this goal, however. She wants to enjoy the process. “Ine-enjoy ko ‘yong moment na mataba ako. Ine-enjoy ko ‘yong journey,” she said.
(I’m enjoying the moment that I’m at this weight. I’m enjoying the journey.”
“I’m enjoying the journey.”
Despite being motivated, she is not immune to insecurity and frustration. It’s a good thing her husband is super supportive of her fitness journey. She recently shared this adorable video of Ryan cheering her on as she gets fit.
