But along with this update is a surprising carousel of screenshots answering the speculations about Kris’s relationship with Mel Sarmiento, the end of their over 2-month engagement.
Kris Aquino break up Mel Sarmiento
In her IG post, Kris shared a series of screenshots of Mel’s break-up message over text. In the end, she requested that the public respect her “humanity and privacy” as she fights for her health. She quotes:
“By doing this, I only request for some respect for my humanity & privacy now and in the coming months when I fight for my health… because I was BRAVE enough to show you and tell you the truth”.

Kris on relationship with Mel Sarmiento: “The End… Move on na…”
In a comment Kris Aquino left to Lolit Solis, which was posted on the latter’s Instagram account, Kris finalized the break up by saying,
“The End… Move on na…”.
The post showed screenshots of Kris Aquino’s latest revelations on how she holds that there will be no more reconciliation between the Kris Aquino break up Mel Sarmiento issue.
Kris said she was initially wondering what could have gone wrong after Mel left her through text. Especially that it happened during a very difficult time in her life.
However, she has now found answers after having a phone conversation with Mel. She quotes,
“It became clear to me, what his true feelings for me had been and how little respect I had left for him…”
She explains that she lost respect for Mel for “not having the common decency” to check on Bimby, Kris’s second child. She says Mel failed to acknowledge that the child is also hurt because of the breakup.
Kris also revealed that her sister, Ballsy, tried building a bridge for the two to reunite, but Mel ended up snobbing Ballsy’s messages.
Kris also disclosed that the final straw was learning how Mel just “used” her, saying,
“So paano babalikan sa taong hindi mo na pinagkakatiwalaan at ngayon alam mo nang hindi ka minahal at ginamit ka lamang?”
According to her, she realized this after finding out about Mel’s fabricated stories about him and the former’s brother, Noy.

She ends her statement by saying,
“So paano babalikan sa taong hindi mo na pinagkakatiwalaan at ngayon alam mo nang hindi ka minahal at ginamit ka lamang?”

Mel Sarmiento and Kris Aquino: A whirlwind romance ended
It was October 24, 2021, when Kris first made public about her relationship with Mel Sarmiento. It was also the time that the two announced their engagement. Mel Sarmiento was a former Department of Interior and Local Government secretary (Sept 2015-June 2016). Mel served during Noynoy’s term as President.

They were officially a couple on July 24, 2021, a month after Noy’s passing. The break up was announced last January 3, 2022.
Kris continues donations despite health condition
In her latest IG post, Kris Aquino shares how she continues to provide assistance to those she finds in need despite her health condition.

She says, “Simple ang dahilan ko, hindi nyo kami iniwan nung kami ang nangangailangan”.
According to her, this is her way of giving back the “love, support, kindness, compassion, and loyalty” that most Filipinos have given her and her family.
Kris also shared how she remains fighting for her healing, physically and emotionally, for his two sons Josh and Bimby.
