Man murdered outside his own home in Sampaloc, Manila

According to CCTV footage, it took only 20 seconds for the armed men to repeatedly shoot 49-year-old Ernesto Tapang outside of his home.

It took them only 20 seconds

49-year-old Ernesto Tapang, from Sampaloc, Manila, was reportedly sitting on a bench outside of his home, when a group of unidentified men shot him.

Based on CCTV footage, a Mitsubishi Adventure stopped right outside the Tapang residence, shortly before 3 AM. Then, a man wearing a hooded jacket went down and repeatedly shot Ernesto.

There were 3 more men who went out of the vehicle and showered the helpless man with bullets before going back inside their vehicle, and speeding away. The entire scene played out for only 20 seconds.

None of the suspects attempted to hide their identity during the crime.

A case of mistaken identity?

Ernesto was immediately rushed by his family to the hospital, but sadly, he wasn’t able to survive the 19 gunshot wounds that he received.

According to police investigation, his death might be a case of mistaken identity, as he has not been involved in any sort of criminal activity, nor was he involved in the drug trade.
