According to Padilla, his wife's thighs are black and blue from the daily injections that prevent Rodriguez from miscarrying a third time.

Bukod pa sa sinasaksak niyang insulin (Her entire thigh is covered with bruises, not because she is an addict, but because she needs to inject heparin twice a day. (What she is going through is not easy, what she is sacrificing for the child.”), he added.

Rodriguez's body simply does not recognize the baby as a fetus, attacking it instead as a foreign body that needs to be expelled. The actress also has gestational diabetes.

Rodriguez miscarried twice before, but feels confident that this is it.
