We first featured the teenage daughter of iconic OPM singer Ogie Alcasid and former beauty queen Michelle Van Eimeren in our list of kids of celebrities who could be the next big stars.
Now it seems that prediction is close to coming true as the Australian-based teen has relocated to the Philippines to live with her dad Ogie for a year. As a heartwarming send-off, her mom wrote her a touching message on Instagram.
“My beautiful baby girl, today is the start of another big adventure for you,” began Michelle. “Breathe in each moment, live with intention and have gratitude for even the smallest details.”
“I have confidence in the young woman I’ve watched you become, as your mum, I could not be prouder.”
She also offered words of encouragement for the 19-year-old.
“I know you are nervous, believe in yourself, I do. I have confidence in the young woman I’ve watched you become, as your mum, I could not be prouder. Enjoy this year of self-discovery, reconnecting with your roots and most importantly family,” continued Michelle, adding how excited she is to hear her stories and celebrate her achievements. She also went on to reassure her daughter that she’ll be there if “anything doesn’t go as planned”.

In closing, she wrote: “I love you my darling, I will miss you!”

Being two of the biggest names in the Philippine music industry, we’re certain Ogie and Regine will be able to guide Leila, should she decide to make her foray into the entertainment industry as well.
Leila will be staying with Ogie and Regine and her adorable half-brother Nate, who she fondly refers to as her “boo”.
Though Michelle has remarried and has been living with her two daughters, Leila and Sarah in Australia since they were very young, she has maintained a close friendship with her ex-husband, Ogie. What’s truly refreshing, too, is how she’s managed to build a friendship with her ex-husband’s wife, Regine Velasquez. In fact, Michelle is not only Nate’s stepmom, she’s also his ninang, too!
A week before her arrival, her stepmom Regine posted a selfie of Leila with the sweet caption: “I’m excited to have you here, sweetheart.”
