My 1st Child Birth Experience

4 min read
My 1st Child Birth Experience

Hello everyone! This is almost six years ago, but I still remember the details on what had happened that time. Also, I’m currently pregnant with my second baby that’s why I decided to share this story cos it brings back memories. Here it goes …

During my first pregnancy, I only do my pre-natal at a Lying-In center near our residence. Only the midwives are the ones that checking on me every check up.

At that time, it is my follow-up check up at exactly 38 weeks. The midwife unintentionally touched my belly . It was already my turn, then she asked me “how many weeks am I?” Cause she feels like my tummy is kinda hard that time. So I said im exactly on my 38th weeks.

Then nagulat sya, sabi nya di ka pa ba na-a-IE? Sabi ko “di pa po.” Since it’s my first time, I don’t know exactly how they do IE or Internal Examination.

So nung time na yun nataranta nako. Laba agad pag-uwi kahit may pain na since tolerable naman hahaha. If you’re gonna ask me din why I did not prepare earlier, eh kasi may mother said na base sa sabi sabi ng matatanda di daw maganda mag prepare agad ng gamit ni baby. Plan ko talaga nun by 7 months pa lang preparado na since that’s when I found out my baby’s gender.

So ayun nagpunta pa nga ako sa bahay ng mama ko since mag kalapit lang ang house namin. May tindahan pa sila, so, naki-bantay din ako.

Edi, wow! Ikaw kaya mag buntis at ka-buwanan mo na. Yun pala, labor na yun kasi since pag-uwi from check-up until mag gabi na, di talaga nawala yung pain. Pero nag decide ako na mag stay pa sa bahay, since other than what I’m feeling at that moment, wala ng ibang sign.

Dun nag start sumakit yung balakang ko pero, lucky me, wala pang isang oras since na-admit ako baby’s out na.!
