Some things happened unexpectedly. And when it happened, it can change your life. FOREVER.

I was in third year college noong nabuntis ako ng maaga.

I finished that semester but wasn't able to enroll the next semester because that time hindi ko pa naaamin sa family ko about my situation.

But it was school vacation when my family knew about it. I was doing the dishes in our eatery when my father entered the kitchen and said, "Ilang months na 'yan? Nasaan tatay nyan?" I was really shookt.

A moment of silence before I decided to answer my father and told him,

"Mag-5 months na po. Schoolmate ko po sya nung high school."

I thought papa would be mad at me but I was overwhelmed by his unconditional love when he said,

"Napa-check up mo na ba 'yan?"

I cried at that moment and hugged my father. My parents supported me all throughout my pregnancy. I was really lucky for having them.

I felt mixed emotions. Very scary but nangingibabaw yung happiness. I could not imagine that I carried a beautiful creation sent by God.

At that moment, I realized and told myself that, He is the one. And now we are together for 10 years with our three amazing cubs. Planning and fulfilling our dreams for our own family.

Planning and fulfilling our dreams for our own family. We have not tied the knot yet but that won't change the fact that we will be in each other arms for a lifetime.

Becoming a parent is really hard. But for us, it is the most rewarding experience we could ever have. Becoming a parent doesn't mean you can't go on with your life.

It may be the start of a new phase and the start to dream more not just for yourself but also for the little ones depending on you. And no matter how challenging life is, we will face everything in a positive manner. We may not be a perfect couple, but we are trying our best to be the “PERFECT PARENT" for our child.

Family support is a BIG factor for upcoming and incoming parents. I really believe that if ramdam ng isang babae yung support and pagmamahal ng mga taong nasa paligid nya, mas malaki 'yong chance maiwasan 'yong Post-Partum Depression (PPD). So if you knew someone especially 'yong mga teenage Mom, don't judge them instead learn through them.
