Neri Naig shares scary but amazing baby bump milestone

The soon-to-be mom shares how she felt about the exciting pregnancy milestone which scared her at first! More details, here!

The soon-to-be mom is well into her third trimester of pregnancy and she recently shared on Instagram a surprising pregnancy milestone.

She saw the outlines of her unborn baby’s hand and foot on her baby bump!

“Nakakaloka! Iba pala yung feeling na makikita mong bumabakat na yung kamay at paa ni baby! Nakakatakot yung pakiramdam!” wrote the first time mom in her Instagram post. “First time ko makita! Akala ko lalabas sa tummy ko! Nataranta ako!”

“Nakakaloka! Iba pala yung feeling na makikita mong bumabakat na yung kamay at paa ni baby!”

She shared this clip recently of her baby moving around inside her belly! “Kulit kulit mo sa tummy ni Mommy!” wrote Neri. “Nakakatuwa! Mommy na ako!Pangarap ko talagang maging isang ina. Excited na kami sa’yo, anak!”

Nahuli din kita, bulinggit! Hahaha! Kulit kulit mo sa tummy ni Mommy! Hahaha! Haaaaaaaaaaaaay. Nakakatuwa! Mommy na ako! Grabe!! Ang saya saya! Pangarap ko talagang maging isang ina. Excited na kami sa’yo, anak! I love you so much! #LittleChitoOrLittleNeri

“Hinimas himas ng nanay ko, natutuwa sya kase active si baby.”

The photo in the post, she clarified, was not of her own bump; it was an image she grabbed from Google. It was the most similar photo to what she experienced.

Initially panicked, Neri sought the help of her own mom, who reassured her that it’s natural. “Sabi nya nag-iinat lang daw si baby,” revealed Neri. “Tinanong ko di ba mabubutas tyan ko? Tinawanan ako habang ako naiiyak kase natatakot ako baka gusto na kakong lumabas ni baby. Hinimas himas ng nanay ko, natutuwa sya kase active si baby.”

She soon calmed down and called her husband, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda to tell him what happened. He even misunderstood her at first, thinking she had gone into labor!

“Pero inulit ko yung kwento ko. Ayun tuwang-tuwa sya,” shared Neri. “Padalhan ko daw video o picture. Sabi ko huminto na eh. Ayun lalong nag emote asawa ko na gusto na nyang umuwi at miss na miss na niya kaming mag-ina.”

According to WebMD, expectant moms usually feel their baby kicking at about 16 to 25 weeks. These fetal movements are also known as “quickening”.

“The standard fetal movement count is per day, not per hour,” said mom Jamie K. over on theAsianparent Community. “Do contact your gynae immediately if your baby has less than 10 movements per day for two consecutive days. Movements can mean kicks, hiccups, wriggles or anything, really. As long as it’s not gas.”

“Babies tend to move more at certain times of the day as they alternate between alertness and sleep.”

During the early months of pregnancy, feeling “flutters of movement” can be expected. This varies, of course, because according to WebMD, “babies tend to move more at certain times of the day as they alternate between alertness and sleep.”

Some doctors would even advise moms to monitor kicks and movement as a way of determining if their baby is growing and developing normally. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, at least 10 movements should be felt within a period of  two hours.

However, WebMD assures moms who haven’t felt their baby move yet at 25 weeks not to panic. Most of the time, a lack of movement may just mean your baby is sleeping. Try checking at different times of the day.
