What is Optimal Birth Outcome?
Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) happens whenever there is zero or a reduction of birth-related complications. The goal of the OBO program is to provide the best possible childbearing outcome for the mother and child.
It focuses on five important aspects of health that have a significant impact on pregnancy:
1. Nutrition and Wellness
Nutrition is important when it comes to reducing the risk of negative birth outcomes. Proper nutrition and wellness also help the baby to achieve optimum growth and development for the baby.
2. Biotransformation and Elimination of Toxicants
The OBO program “equips mothers with the practical knowledge of avoiding and substituting today’s most commonly used harmful chemicals.”
