Hi I am Monica, 25. My husband and I have been together as a couple for 7 years before I got pregnant plus 1 year because we just celebrated 1st anniversary as husband and wife.

Our relationship for the past 7 years was very happy, fancy and I can describe us as a happy go lucky couple. My salary as a casino dealer made our life remarkable. Spending for shopping, food trippings everyday and more travel goals. We didn’t anticipate everything and forget about saving.

The most amazing gift

So in August 2019, I was blessed that I got pregnant. Despite of having Toxic Goiter and Hyperthyroidism; I was on medication for almost 2 years by the time I got pregnant and that year I was also diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis.

My OB-gyn told me that most cases she handles with the same case with me didn’t able to have their own baby. That’s why we are very happy to have our own. Thanks to the Lord!

Struggles we have encountered

Months past by on my 3rd trimester our family business that we’ve both operating for a year just transferred and opened a our new store location that was March 14, 2020 and then 3 days later after the opening the Luzon was placed on lockdown.

We are so devastated that everything shuts down. By the way our business is Party Needs, Mascots and Balloon decorations so the impact really hits us because gatherings are prohibited.

Then on July, while I’m on my Maternity Leave I was retrenched from my beloved company. And on the same month I got tested positive for Covid-19 when my baby is only 2 months old.

We worry almost everyday cause we’re both doesn’t have work but we survive from side hustles that we make. Our life right now is very tough, we sometimes argue on small things and we’re not actually like this before. It’s kind of sad but the good thing is we talk about it after arguing to have settlements.

What we realized

After the difficulties we faced and we know that there’s a lot more to come, we then realized that we vowed and said I do to each other. We need to make it through everything when we have us together and with God. And this is just the beginning, we’re only at the first page of the story.

We always remind each other that the only important is the love for our family that we build is our foundation to make this marriage work.
