Though she’s been married less than a year ago, Pauleen Luna admits she feels the pressure to start a family with husband Vic Sotto already.
“Yung stressful na siya for me because ako talaga, gusto ko, tapos may mga ibang tao pa,” she told PEP in a recent interview on the sit of the longest running noontime show, Eat Bulaga! where Pauleen has been a host for 11 years. “We’ve been trying. No luck yet. But hopefully soon, dasal-dasal (through prayers).”
Her husband Vic also wants to have a baby, shares Pauleen. Vic’s youngest daughter with actress-model Angela Luz, Paulina, is now 24 years old.
“Paulina is now 24 so the last time he had a baby in the house is 24 years ago. And we’re trying,” says Pauleen.
The 27-year-old actress/host admits that the pressure to have a baby is somewhat stressful, seeing as how a lot of people are expecting them to have one soon.
“But, you know, I just take it (that they’re excited for us to have a baby). (But) we really (want to) have a baby.”

Pauleen also makes sure to steer clear of smoking or drinking, knowing that these will help boost her chances of conceiving.
“Wala naman akong vice,” she shares. “Hindi ako nagsu-soap muna, para hindi stressful yung araw-araw. I just do Eat Bulaga.”
(I don’t have any vices. I haven’t been doing soap operas for now to avoid the stress of taping on consecutive days. I just do Eat Bulaga.)
Limiting her TV projects also help her spend more time with her husband.

“At the same time, it’s light, it’s fun, short hours,” says Pauleen, adding that it hasn’t felt like she’s been on the show for 11 years now.
“It feels like two. Sobrang bilis sa pakiramdam (It feels like it’s gone by so quickly),” marvels Pauleen.
She’s also grateful that being part of the show has given her stability in the unpredictable world of showbiz.
More than that, however, she is most grateful that, through the show, she “gained a family”.
“We still hang out and you look forward to something every day.
“It’s like going to school and then you’re paid, and you’re having fun. Also, of course, I found my husband here. I don’t think I gained anything negative with being part of Eat Bulaga.”
She has no plans of leaving the show where awesome people are able to help those in need. The fact that they get along so well is just an added bonus.
