Decorate your pregnancy belly with henna tattoo!

Expectant mom Miyu Yasui Sato from Japan shares a creative way to bring fun into your pregnancy with this henna tattoo activity.

To apply henna tattoo on your pregnancy belly, you'll need:
Henna paste - get tutorial on instructables.com; you can buy henna at Indian stores like Assad Mini Mart
Henna cone - get tutorial on hennacaravan.com latex gloves paper pencil
marker
cutter
glue stick and tape
mirror
Step 1: Draw the design

Look for inspiration from the Internet, books, magazines. The Pregnancy Henna Belly Art Pinterest board is a good place to start. Miyu chose horses as inspiration to create a Pegasus design for her belly.
Step 2: Create an outline

Simply trace the design with thicker lines to make an outline for your stencil.
Step 3: Make a stencil cut of your design

Using a cutter, cut the outline out, similar to paper cutting or when you’re making pabalat, the wrapper for pastillas.
Step 4: Stick design to the belly

Paste the paper on to your belly. Use glue stick and tape.
Step 5: Trace stencil pattern with henna

Outline the design using henna cone, much like applying icing on cake using a piping bag.
Step 6: Take the stencil off

If you're applying the henna by yourself, a mirror would be very handy. Once done, let henna dry uncovered until it cracks. Then cover with plastic wrap overnight.
Step 8: Remove wrap

Wash off dried henna with soap and water. The design will go from light to darker shade of brown or red (depending on the color you chose) within 12 hours of removing the dried henna.
Step 9: Snap a pic!

After all the meticulous work, don't forget to take a photo of your design and show it off to your family and friends.
