It’s very emotional and overwhelming at the same time that right after getting my Bachelor’s degree and attending immediately to a review center, I passed the licensure examination for professional teachers. I couldn’t ask for more than to celebrate that triumph with my mom. But she passed away before my graduation rites due to cardiac arrest.

After my Oath Taking as Professional Teacher, I never thought of attending a new calling – to be a mom! I am out of nowhere and felt numb because I definitely don’t know how to do and how to deal with it. I faced different problems during pregnancy.
Problems I faced during pregnancy
I know exactly at that moment that it’s a blessing from above. I even questioned myself “Am I ready enough with this kind of responsibility?” But absolutely I SHOULD BE!
It took us three months before telling to everyone that I’m pregnant. On those days hiding the precious little one inside, there was a fragile me.
I don’t think I can’t stand alone with the fear of disappointing the people around me – my family, most especially my relatives who helped me financially throughout my college years.

I don’t think I can’t bear their reactions after knowing that I’m pregnant having, though I have my license but no job at least. I never got the chance to at least used my profession and make them proud.
We still came to the moment that we need to tell them – and yes, they are really disappointed. I received hurtful comments and choose to accept and listen.
They are right, at least I waited until I can find a job and help first in supporting my four siblings before settling into this situation. But then again, it’s there! I need to gain the strength to carry on because someone insides me, needs me.
My pregnancy story
I can still remember that I came to the point wherein waking up is so painful because I know a lot of them are disappointed in me. I can’t find any reason except the little one inside me. I find the courage to stand and be brave enough.
Little did I know, I’m becoming the person I never thought I will be. Every morning I’m talking to the little human inside my womb. I shared lots of stories, telling my aspirations in life and how I am planning everything.
I never had a memorable pregnancy craving or anything that makes every mom remember during her pregnancy journey except the idea that I am soon having a little angel.
I never got any shots of myself with my baby bump nor spend my days outside walking near the beach. I just ended up most of my time lying in the bed, doing household chores as my exercise, and spend the rest of everything being positive towards life.
I learned to embrace wholeheartedly the person I am becoming day by day as I choose to love more the life that I am living. I need that vibe that will help us both through this journey. Amidst the negativity and the not so magical experience of pregnancy, I find ways to gain that confidence back!

6 tips to help you during bad days during pregnancy
1. Take a rest
One of the much-needed elements of my body during pregnancy. Even that I am preoccupied with adversities and predicaments in life because of the situation, I’m not a robot anyway not to feel tired. It helps me get energized that makes me so productive to start again another day.
2. One moment at a time
One thing I’ve learned is not to take things in a hurry. You should take everything in control in order to have good decisions in life. Whenever you are in a hurry and rushing everything, the tendency is that you make things out of control and never got the chance to analyze things first and you’ll probably end up to bad decisions.
3. Communication is always the key
Don’t close your door and take the path all alone. Always find the time to talk to someone even simply with your friends and have always the courage to tell what you feel.
Never hesitate to be open that if you choose to, you’ll be ended up bursting up into sorrow. When you open up yourself to anyone or to someone, the tendency is that you’ll be able to release your emotions and will then have the courage to carry on again.
Telling them that you are in pain or feel that you can no longer hold the pain will is not a reflection of a weak person. Again, you’re neither an island nor a robot.
4. Find what interest you
Even in a simple activity that makes you feel happy doing it. A hobby of yours that makes you passionate about. In this way, you can find yourself being happy the way you used to be.
Yes! This might remind you of before and you’ll definitely realize how time changed. When you have something that make you busy but happy doing it, your heart is happy as well that you’ll be able to release your creativity and express yourself too.
5. Be prayerful
It means a lot and will change a lot. The way you think, the way you see and live life, the way you will accept and embrace what is it now and what will come, and the way you will understand and appreciate things that are happening or that surrounds you.
You’ll see the real beauty and happiness because you’ll be able to tell and surrender everything above and let His manifestation and will prevail.
6. Always be positive
Because when you are, you’ll see life from a wider perspective. You know, you are what you think or what you say. So let positive thoughts mandate your life. It will reflect the goodness of an enthusiastic heart and mind.
Life will still challenge us to the way we were not expecting it to happen. But always remember to find reasons to conquer it. Because you will always have that one reason to push through more in life, be more in life, and feels like you can do everything in life, no matter what.
