Richard Gutierrez and partner Sarah Lahbati will soon be tying the knot. The couple, who welcomed a son four years ago, marked another milestone in their lives when they recently got engaged in Switzerland.
The couple have been together for five years.
Lahbati, who was born in Switzerland, took a break from showbiz and kept her pregnancy under wraps back in 2012, before she gave birth in 2013. Nearly a year later, they introduced their adorable baby boy Zion to the world.
“The stars aligned in the universe and this happened. I’m marrying my best friend,” Lahbati wrote in a heartwarming instagram post, announcing the happy news to her 3 million followers.

For his part, Gutierrez shared a romantic photo of them kissing surrounded by the snow-capped hills, writing:
“I love you and I can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives together.”

So where will the much anticipated wedding ceremony be held? The couple haven’t officially announced a venue, but in a previous interview with Boy Abunda in June 2016, Lahbati revealed she wanted to get married in Europe before honeymooning in Costa Rica.
“No, we dont have [a date yet] but we’re thinking about sort of where we’ll be and sort of the theme,” she also told Rappler in a recent interview. “I personally want somewhere cold and that’s it, that’s all I can say.”

“We’ve been living our lives as a married couple and this really formalizes that. We’re considering it a new chapter, a fresh start, it’s always exciting,” Gutierrez said, adding how this marriage will be a “fresh start” for them.
