Shamcey Supsup gives birth to beautiful baby girl Nyke

The architect-beauty queen is excited to teach her daughter how to do the Tsunami Walk.

We were all excited about Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach’s arrival but that didn’t keep us from being excited about another arrival.

Miss Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup-Lee gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Nyla Kelcey “Nyke” Lee yesterday, January 24.

Shamcey posted the photo of her daughter on Instragram and explained that she delivered via Cesarean section. “Everything just hurts, but seeing your baby for the first time is just magical,” she continued. She also remembered to thank the Lord for their “healthy, strong and super bait (well-behaved) na baby.”

It is a dream come true for Shamcey and her husband who were planning to start a family after their home was completed last year. They even shared back in 2014 that they already had a unisex name in mind, although the couple really wanted a girl.

“Baka turuan ko rin siya ng Tsunami Walk ko, ‘di ba?” (“Maybe I’ll teach her my Tsunami Walk, right?”) referring to the trademark way she sways her hips when she is doing the catwalk.

The beauty queen won the Binibining Pilipinas crown and represented the country in the Miss Universe pageant back in 2011. She was the 3rd runner-up.

During the competition, she was asked if she would change her religious beliefs to marry the person she loves. She is remembered for her frank reply, “If that person loves me, he should love my God too.” Two years later, she married businessman Lloyd Lee.

Beauty and brains

Shamcey received her degree in architecture from the University of the Philippines, graduating magna cum laude, and topped the architect licensure exam. Outside the entertainment industry, she is currently an architectural and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection & Sanitary (MEPFS) design consultant at Grid Asia, Inc.

She and her husband also have a restaurant, Pedro ‘N Coi. There is a branch in Fisher Mall and a recently-opened one in Greenhills where a baby shower for Nyke was held. Naturally, the fairy godmothers who attended are beauty queens too!

Shamcey shared the photo with the caption “Nyke and her fairy godmothers ♡♡♡ #babyshower” Among others, she is surrounded by Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong, Miss Philippines 2010 Venus Raj (4th runner up), and Miss Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa (top 10).

MJ also shared her photos with her new ina-anak with the hashtag #NylaKelceyLee and shared that the baby looks like dad Lloyd.

Congratulations, Shamcey and Lloyd!
