The demands of being an actress and a mom did not stop Valerie Concepcion from pursuing her goal to finish college!
Just recently, Valerie happily shared that she’s achieved this long-held dream. She shared her graduation picture on Instagram on June 20, revealing that her dream of finishing college has finally come true.
The 30-year-old celebrity mom is now a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arellano University.
Single mom Valerie Concepcion gave birth in her teens and put her studies on hold. Now she’s a college graduate!
In her caption, she began thanking her loved ones who supported her and pushed and inspired her to finish her studies. She went on to extend her gratitude to her professors, classmates, and the ETEEAP program of the university.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) defines the Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (EETEAP) as “a comprehensive educational assessment program at the tertiary level that recognizes, accredits and gives equivalencies to knowledge, skills, attitudes and values gained by individuals from relevant work.” Sunshine Cruz is also a graduate of the same program and obtained her Psychology degree in 2017.
Netizens congratulated her new achievement and the post has garnered more than 48,000 likes as of writing.
Valerie is also a Hands-on Mom
Valerie is a proud mom to a 13-year-old named Heather Fiona, who also graduated from middle school this year. Last May, the proud mom shared a picture of Fiona holding a diploma on Instagram.
The actress said in the caption: “I’ve played a lot of roles as an actress. But my favorite role is being your MOTHER. I could not be any prouder of the young lady you’ve become. Congratulations to my favorite girl in the world!”
The mother and daughter duo have always enjoyed their quality time together as seen on Valerie’s Instagram posts. Last mother’s day, Heather posted a loving tribute to her mom. She called Valerie her “most favorite concert buddy, shopping buddy, eating buddy, travel buddy, best friend, and most importantly – mother”.
Valerie replied through her caption on Instagram that she will always be there for her daughter no matter what.
Congratulations, Valerie! You truly are an inspiration to all single moms!
