We’ve heard of women whose husbands cheated on them while they were pregnant, but this is the first time we’ve encountered a story where the wife was a willing participant in the infidelity. It is not our place to judge, but we are merely shedding light on this story in the hopes that couples will realize the importance of seeing past our sexual desires for the love of our partner.
According to a blog entry on Rebel Circus by a woman who’s naturally chosen to remain anonymous, she had an affair with her pregnant best friend’s husband for five months. Her best friend, Sarah (not her real name), had requested it.
Due to a condition called cervical insufficiency, she had been told to refrain from having sexual intercourse throughout the duration of her pregnancy. Shortly after this, she found out her husband Brad (not his real name) was ‘sexting’ women on the dating app, Tinder. Worried that he would stray further away from her, she decided that it would be better for him to ‘cheat’ with someone she knew.
The writer hesitated at first, but when she was offered enough money to get herself out of debt, she gave in.
The ‘affair’ lasted for five months. Sarah had given birth and even made the writer her baby girl’s godmother. Sarah and Brad are still together.

How can husbands cope with a sexless pregnancy?
Though the case of Brad, Sarah, and her best friend is unusual, many dads-to-be cans surely relate to being overcome by their desires when they’ve gone without sex for months. The first step is to be understanding. Though pregnancy can increase a woman’s sex drive, it can also make her feel awkward and unattractive. Reassure her and make her feel wanted. Be there to support her.
Many men resort to watching porn or masturbation as a release. You can also find other ways to satisfy one another, like oral sex. Getting creative increases the thrill and it also lessens the temptation to cheat.
In cases such as Sarah’s, where a medical condition prohibits sex, it’s so important to be patient. Chances are your wife wants sex just as much as you do, but prioritize your unborn child’s health and well-being above all else.
