Solar Eclipse: Harmful or Superstition towards Pregnant Ladies

Solar Eclipse: Harmful or Superstition towards Pregnant Ladies

Since maraming mga eclipse before the year 2022 ends, let me share to you what my tita shared to me regarding the solar eclipse superstition. So one day, dapat may class ako that day since I am still a graduating college student and also 2 months preggy. My schedule that day was 12pm start ng class but the solar eclipse starts at 6 am and ends at 1pm, I was worried since may reporting kami that day and sobrang important. I asked around to my colleagues kung may "pangontra" ba sa solar eclipse so that I can go to school. Then, my friend said na I can go pa rin daw if I wear black clothes, bring umbrella and don't ever let the sun ray touch me daw. I was hesitant since this is pregnancy that we are talking about. I would gladly be absent in a class just for one time to the sake of my baby's health but it is an important school matter. Still, I prioritize being pregnant and didn't hesitate to send an excuse letter to our Professor. The other one said that, why did I say that too late dapat daw nasabuyan niya ako ng bulaklak. But my Aunt said that there are no "pangontra" talaga agains solar eclipse for pregnant ladies, if I want to stay safe better to stay at home daw and avoid it even the reflection of it can cause me harm daw. She also said that dapat daw sabuyan ng water with flowers yung buntis IF, hindi niya alam na solar eclipse pala at nasa labas sya but if alam niya hindi daw effective. I searched throughout google and this doesn't have any scientific explanation, only the beliefs. Still, we can be safe than sorry naman dba mommies? I also witness some miscarriage and disformation of babies due to the exposure of solar eclipse. What are your thoughts mommies? Do you also have your superstition belief when it comes to us? Share it to us!
