You don’t want this happening to your kid: bullied girl caught on video

The harrowing video lasts for over a minute, and no one tried to stop it

This is no ordinary bullying. This is bullying taken to an all new level. And it was all caught on camera.

The video features two girls in a classroom at Center of Hope School in Lakewood. One of the girls, the 7th grader, is on the floor while another, an 8th grader, repeatedly assaults the younger girl.

Kicking the helpless 7th grader on the floor, the bully could be seen at one point to be sitting on the girl’s chest while she continues her beating.

It lasts for over a minute.

“[My daughter was] on the ground and (the bully) kicked her in the face,” Robert Medina, the father of the girl, said. “I was angry, I was outraged.”

And he as just as outraged at the way the school was handling the situation.

“No phone call whatsoever; that’s so unprofessional,” he said. “The cops should have been called and shown the video and let it go from there but they didn’t do none of that,” Medina said.

“You’re supposed to call parents right away if not law enforcement to say look this is what happened,” Medina said. According to Medina, one of his daughter’s took pictures with a cell phone, and he found out only after his daughter sent a text to a relative.

Both girls were suspended, a decision which Medina said was not fair to his daughter.

The police refused to comment because the case involved juveniles.

  • Excluding another child
  • Being insensitive to the feelings or needs of others; a lack of empathy
  • Threatening with force or fear, taunting, or intimidating
  • Physical aggressiveness (hits, punches, kicks, hiding belongings, etc.)
  • High need for control and domination over others
  • Damages other’s property or clothing
  • Bad-tempered, impulsive, easily frustrated
  • Unconcerned if someone is upset or hurt but takes pleasure in it
  • Refuses to accept responsibility or denies wrongdoing when evidence shows guilt
  • Targets those who are weaker or younger or animals
