3 lessons Zsa Zsa Padilla learned on life and love after 40

Zsa Zsa Padilla is in the process of healing after her breakup with her fiance. The breakup, she says, has allowed her to learn important life lessons.

Zsa Zsa Padilla is in the process of healing after calling off her engagement with architect Conrad Onglao.

In an ambush interview with members of the press, Zsa Zsa said she still feels blessed despite the breakup.

The following are quotes taken from ABS-CBN’s video embedded below.

“I’m healing. I’m in the process of healing,” she said.

“I’m very blessed to have my family with me and the good support of my friends. That’s all I need, I guess,” the veteran singer/actress also said.

It was back in 2014 that Zsa Zsa first confirmed the budding romance when she posted a photo of herself and Conrad holding hands. The pair got engaged in September 2015, but details of the wedding, which was to be solemnized in Italy, was kept under wraps.

On May 3, the breakup was confirmed by Zsa Zsa’s daughter Karylle. The relationship lasted two years.

During the interview, Zsa Zsa, who is 51 years old and will be celebrating her birthday on May 28, also said the breakup has taught her a lot.

“Of course we all have life lessons,” Zsa Zsa stated.

“A friend of mine said, ‘Oh my God, we never really fail to…’. Kung baga kahit ganito na yung edad namin, hindi talaga tayo natatapos sa life lessons (Let’s put it this way–even at our age, life lessons never really stop),” she continued.

“Nagkakamali pa rin tayo sa buhay. Kaya talaga tayo nandito para mabuhay (We still make mistakes in life. That’s why we are here to live)–to learn… not to commit the same mistakes again,” Zsa Zsa also reflected.

When asked about the lessons she learned, Zsa Zsa said she has learned a lot.

“To love yourself. To always remember that family’s got your back. To keep your private life private. Kasi masyado akong naengganyo dyan sa social media…mula naman nung kami ni Dolphy (I got too involved in social media…even back when I was still with Dolphy), my life has been an open book. So from now on, sorry guys, but my private life has to be private. I have to keep some for myself,” Zsa Zsa shared via PEP.ph in a report by Nerissa Almo.

Zsa Zsa is now back in the home she shared with comedy king Dolphy. According to her, going home has helped her heal. As part of the healing process, Zsa Zsa also asked her daughter Karylle to deactivate all her social media accounts.
