During an event for Red Ribbon, Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano shared some insights on what they’ve learned as parents. They also shared their experiences as mom and dad to Seve!
Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano on being new parents
Husband and wife duo Toni and Paul Soriano got married back in 2015. And about a year later, Toni gave birth to their little boy, Severiano Elliot Soriano, or Seve.
Even if they’re celebrities Toni and Paul still went through a lot of the things that newly married couples and first-time parents go through.
“When we got married, there was a lot of adjustment”
During the question and answer portion of the event, a member of the audience asked if they made a change in their lifestyle when they got married.
Toni answered and said that they had to make a major change in their lives when they had Seve.
Paul continued, “When we got married, there was a lot of adjustment, and when we had Seve.
“Being a married couple, and being parents, it’s a work in progress every single day.”
Toni and Paul were then asked if they still had some alone time. Toni shared “Feeling ko wala nang alone time. Us, for me and Paul, includes Seve already.”
“We feel like we’re one, the three of us.” Paul added.
“We wanna do it our own style”
Another question that the couple was asked was about what kind of parents they want to be during these modern times.
“We wanna do it the same way like our parents raised us, but we wanna do it our own style,” Toni shares. Adding that they want to raise Seve in a traditional way, but she and husband Paul are trying to make their own system that works for them.
On spending more time with Seve, Toni said that she and Paul always make it a point to spend more time with Seve compared to their work.
Toni added that she and Paul sit down and discuss how they can manage their time with Seve. Back when they didn’t have Seve, she shares that it was okay for them to work constantly, since they’re very passionate about their jobs. But when they became parents, their lives shifted from work, to spending more time together as a family.
It’s truly amazing to get some insights from Toni and Paul regarding their parenting style. It’s always refreshing to see celebrities who are truly dedicated moms and dads!
