Toni Gonzaga has finally broken her silence regarding rumors that there is something going on between her husband director Paul Soriano and Erich Gonzales, who stars in the film he’s currently shooting in Siargao.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Toni clarified that this no longer comes as a surprise. Back in May, before shooting started, Paul had already warned her about the possibility that “bashers would link him” to the actress, just like they did when he worked with actress Maja Salvador on the award-winning film Thelma.
According to Toni, Erich herself had confided in her after she was flooded by hate messges, following the rumors. Confidently, Toni reassured the public that she and Paul won’t allow any intrigues to affect their marriage.
She also emphasized that she believes in a “woman’s intuition,” sharing that she knows in her heart that Paul is faithful. Despite this, she continues to pray that their marriage withstands whatever trials come their way.

This is not the first time their marriage has been tested, as the couple confided in a previous interview with Philstar.com that one of the issues they face is struggling to make time for one another.
“The great thing about it was, after she hosted Pinoy Big Brother, we did almost two weeks of straight of just the two of us,” Paul shared.
Interjecting, Toni added how she realized the importance of balancing her career with family life and meeting Paul halfway.
“Lagi niyang sinasabi, ‘I don’t want to be your free-time husband,” interjected Toni. “He tells me naman na he’s not asking me to stop. He’s just asking for one little thing. He just wants me to be his wife. Tapos nag-usap kami na this is my heart’s desire. I also want to be the best wife for you but I also have dreams. Magme-meet lang talaga kayo halfway.”
