Actress Assunta de Rossi, who’s been married to politician Jules Ledesma, is finally ready to become a mom.
Two years ago, she told the Inquirer that a myoma, or a tumor in her uterus, may be the reason why she still can’t conceive.
But she still believes that “everything happens at the right time”.
“Sabi nga ni God is not one minute early not one minute late. He is always on time,” she told PEP in a recent interview.

She also said in the interview that she hasn’t lost hope, especially now that there a lot of options for those who long to conceive.
Her first steps were to lie low from doing TV soap operas. “I wanna have a baby first, hindi muna ako magtatrabaho,” stated the 35-year-old actress, adding that she’ll leave it in the hands of her doctor to help her get ready to get pregnant.
According to Assunta, husband Jules, who used to be a Congressman, has put his political career on hold. “Medyo kahit paano, medyo marami nang oras,” revealed Assunta.

When asked if life is boring without a baby, Assunta clarified that “boring” may not be the right word for it. Instead, she said, life is more low key.

“Kailangan ko ba talagang i-share ang sex life ko?!” she told PEP, jokingly.
It doesn’t really bother her when people badger them about starting a family.
“For the last ten years, puro kami salo after salo ng mga obligasyon,” confided Assunta, recounting how most of their time was taken up by her husband’s obligation as an heir to the Ledesma clan’s Hacienda Euzkara, which comes with the responsibility of managing and sharing the wealth within the family.
“Pero idi-distribute din namin iyon sa workers and we’ll end up with 40 percent na lang,” revealed Assunta to PEP. “So, mabusisi yun and, ang ending, wala kaming anak. Iyon ang napala namin.”
