The Wais na Misis is now a Wais na Mommy! Neri Naig gave birth to her first child with husband Chito Miranda on November 23. Now, the two new parents, Neri and Chito have fallen head over heels in love with Baby Alfonso.
Just last year, the couple went through the heartbreaking experience of having a miscarriage. Now, they are finally parents. Chito, who’s usually reserved, couldn’t help but get emotional on Instagram.
“This is my family. I will do everything in my power para maalagaan sila ng maayos, to provide for them, to spoil them, and to give them an advantage sa future,” wrote the proud first time dad on Instagram. “I will save and invest all my money for them. I will take care of myself better para mabantayan ko sila hanggang sa pagtanda ko. I will behave and not do anything stupid, I will work harder, and spend as much time with them as possible.”
The new dad also shared how he signed up for Cordlife stem cell banking, to ensure his family’s health in the future.
“Saludo talaga ako sa lahat ng mga nanay. Grabe. Good job asawa ko!”
“Sobrang proud talaga ako sa asawa ko. Alam nyo kasi, takot na takot si Neri sa karayom,” he began in another post. “Kaya kung alam nyo lang kung gaano kahirap yung pinagdaanan nya sa pagbubuntis at panganganak, at kung paano nya buong tapang na tiniis at hinarap, mabibilib din talaga kayo.”
The usually cool new dad also admitted that he tried not to let Neri see just how nervous he was.
“Kaya sobrang thankful ako na ok na lahat…ok na si Neri, at ok na ok din ang anak namin,” continued Chito. “Totoo talaga yung sinasabi nila na nakayapak sa hukay ang isang paa ng manganganak. Saludo talaga ako sa lahat ng mga nanay. Grabe. Good job asawa ko!”
“Sorry kung senti ako,” he ended his post. “I’m sure you all understand, some of you more than most.”
It’s not just Chito who gave followers a peek into how their life has been since welcoming their first child. Neri shared how the hands-on parents have taken shifting schedules when watching Alfonso.
“Ako naman ang matutulog ngayong umaga. Si Daddy Chito ang nakapagpahinga ng madaling araw. Ako kase ang gising kapag madaling araw. Salitan ng duty,” shared Neri in one of her posts, adding that breastfeeding helps her and baby Alfonso sleep more soundly. “Gusto ko kase lagi siyang katabi. At mukhang gusto rin nya na yakap yakap ko siya lagi. Tulog na tulog talaga eh.”
The overjoyed new mom also took time to express gratitude to all who supported her throughout her journey to becoming a momma.
“Sarap niyang titigan! Nakakagigil! Salamat sa Diyos at ok kaming mag-ina,” she continued. “Thank you po, Lord. Salamat din sa lahat ng prayers nyo. Ang sweet nyong lahat. Thank you!”
