What’s the best thing a husband can give his tired, breastfeeding wife? Well, aside from sleep, just a show of support!
This is what celebrity dad Billy Crawford did when he posted a photo of his wife, Coleen Garcia, breastfeeding their son Amari.
“Thank you Mommy”
Yesterday, August 7, Billy took it to Instagram to show his love and appreciation to Coleen for being such an amazing mom to their little boy, and a loving wife to a “pasaway husband” like him.
“Y’all don’t know how much this woman gives! I want Amari to see this when he grows up and realize how much mommy sacrificed for him.
We both thank you mommy for being a wonderful mom and the best wife to a pasaway husband! 😜 🙇♂️ 🙏”

Billy’s post got a lot of comments complimenting Coleen for being such a strong mom. Their friends and colleagues from the industry also agreed with Billy’s sentiments.
“❤️❤️❤️ kaya kailangan natin bumawi everyday, forever,” said Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, whose wife, Neri, is also a breastfeeding mom and currently pregnant to their second child.
“So please behave yourself Billy Joe. That girl is also a daughter to me okay ! 😬😂😂😂 love you both ❤️❤️❤️,” was the comment of Gary V’s wife and manager Angeli Pangilinan, to which, Billy replied,
“Always Tita! I’m so blessed to have her!”
“Maganda kahit tulog”
Some of their followers, who are also moms, couldn’t help but relate to Coleen in the photo. Some even commented that only “padede moms” can pull off that sleeping position.
“Akala niyo lang ang pagpadede ang sakit inyan sa totoo lang. Only a mother’s love can bear it,” said one netizen.
A lot of their supporters also gushed at how beautiful and serene Coleen looked even while sleeping and breastfeeding her baby.
“Nagpapadede rin naman ako pero bakit ‘di ako ganito kaganda? Nakanganga pa partida,” said one netizen.
“Sana all ganito kaganda at sexy habang nagpapa breastfeeding,” another fan replied in the comments section.
But aside from those admiring Coleen’s effortless beauty despite the raw and candid image, netizens also praised Billy for appreciating all his wife’s efforts.
“How I wish na ganyan ang nasa utak ng kada tatay sa mundong ‘to ❤️ siguro ang daming buo ang pamilya.” said one netizen.
“Only a real man can appreciate the sacrifices of the mother of his child. 🙌 salute! 💖” added another one.

Coleen Garcia’s breastfeeding journey
Billy Crawford married his longtime girlfriend, actress Coleen Garcia in April 2018. Last September 2020, they welcomed their firstborn, Amari. Coleen gave birth via water birth in their home.
In a previous Instagram story, Coleen shared how difficult it was to breastfeed especially since she was still recovering from giving birth.”
“I knew postpartum recovery was not going to be easy and I knew breastfeeding was going to be challenging. But wow, I never anticipated how hard it would be to go through both at the same time.” she shared.
A few months ago, the first-time mom also shared her experiences with postpartum anxiety. Read about it here.

In a previous interview, Coleen shared that out of all the things she had anticipated, breastfeeding was the one that was really “matrabaho.”
“Breastfeeding in itself is actually super hard already, pero iyong gusto ko kasi direct latching kasi lalo na ngayon na parang hindi naman ako lumalabas, di ba?
Might as well na hindi muna magbote, hindi muna magpump. So ayon, direct latching talaga.” she said.

Three days ago, August 6, in celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, Coleen shared about the struggles and triumphs she experienced while breastfeeding Amari.
“Breastfeeding has been a huge part of our journey. We started with Amari having the hardest time latching, and me crying often out of frustration and discomfort.
It hasn’t been an easy ride, but hey they’re totally right when they say it gets better! I used to hate it, but I kept pushing on cause I was determined to see it through.
Now, I love this part of our relationship so much, and I see it as such an honor and a blessing. I get the best view in the world when he looks me in the eyes, especially when he decides to smile or laugh, or blow milk all over our faces.
It makes me laugh, too, when he tries to eat his foot at the same time, or when half of his body stands and starts bouncing while feeding in bed, and even when he stops mid-feed to stare at my nipple and pinch it.
I wouldn’t trade this for anything, even though he has five painful teeth. Hay, gotta love little boys right?” she wrote.
She ended her post by giving a shout-out to fellow moms, breastfeeding or not.
“Sending my love to all the Mamas out there. Regardless of how you choose to feed your baby, you are doing an incredible job!”
