Being a working mom in today’s society is something to be proud of. Motherhood is tough enough as it is, so to excel at your job while being the best mom you can be is a feat worthy of celebration.
Organic Balance recently decided to help celebrate these hardworking mothers in the guise of a clever and hilarious commercial. In tackling ridiculous stereotypes purported by the media (especially advertising), the commercial paints a landscape of what a regular morning truly looks like for working mothers in today’s world.
Such examples of hilarious inaccuracies include…
“Starting each day by doing yoga”
or “Journaling in a journaling nook”
Please…
As if moms actually have the time to live out these ludicrous activities. That’s when the commercial takes a drastic change of tone and drops some very real, very relatable statistics that have working moms everywhere shouting, “Hallelujah!”
For example:
57% of working moms are up before sunrise
21% check their work emails before getting out of bed
9% site Dry Shampoo as the greatest invention of the 20th century
Looks like Organic Balance understands what it really means to be a working mom!
While it would be nice to think that moms hit the floor and eagerly and happily prepare “wholesome farm fresh breakfasts”. Then, they eat them with a tiny spoon that they “bought from a company that gives tiny spoons to underprivileged children”, the reality is that most working moms start their day like this…
And you know what? There’s nothing wrong with that. Keep working hard, mommies! You’re an inspiration to us all!
