Last July 25, 2014, Facebook user Chelsea Mae S. Luzanta uploaded a video of a street child named “Gerald” answering mathematical questions asked by UST students. Apparently, the boy had wandered up to Chelsea’s group of friends asking for change, when ignored, he then said that he was good at mathematics. The group initially began asking multiplication questions, but Gerald told them he wanted square root problems. The video shows Gerald answering the correct square root of whatever number given to him and calling the students out when they try to trick him.
