I am proud to be a Filipino parent because I get to raise my kids with the values and traditions that I grew up with. Having Filipino parents that were conservative and yet who value their kids opinions and wants is what I now impart to my children.

I am proud to be a Filipino parent because we believe in the importance of strengthening family ties. Also, we believe that if we treasure our family it will make us a better person and closer to God.

I am proud to be a Filipino parent because of our core values. As parents, we want our child to grow up to become God-fearing, respectful, good mannered and well-disciplined individuals. So as early as the toddler phase, we impart these values to them

Filipinos are known for being hospitable, family oriented and God fearing individuals. My husband and I are proud to be Filipino parents because being raised in an environment that gives utmost importance to these values, we know that we can easily impart them to our daughter, Zoie, and our future kids as they grow up. Once a Filipino, always a Filipino.

I am a proud Filipino parent because Filipino parents (or parents anywhere in the world) are given the chance and the freedom to experience the bountiful blessing of having a child of your own to love, to cherish, to discipline, to grow with and to fully enjoy as God intended.

We have strong values as Filipino parents and that's what we impart on our kids, more than knowledge. 3 of our kids were born in Canada but we teach all our kids the Filipino values we've learned from our respective parents (especially the show of respect to elders and the strong bond of family ties). We chose to homeschool all of them so that they learn these values first hand and so that their role models will be us, the parents, and not anyone else.

I am a proud Filipino parent because I was born and raised in a country that has rich culture, that has great values and that emphasizes repsect to the elders. An example of this is the practice of "mano po” or saying "po” and "opo”.

I am a mother of two wonderful children, and teach them what my parents taught me: to become a good citizen of our country, Filipino hospitality traits , the" bayanihan" system and more importantly, to value our family no matter what. With regards to our elders, we believe that we must take care of them and not leave them in the hands of other people… It is good to be a Filipino, and will always be proud to be one!"

Being a Filipino is already something to be proud of but being a Filipino parent is definitely something else. Given our unique culture and tradition - growing up in a closeknit family, showing great respect for our elders and having strong faith and belief in God - Filipino parents are fully equipped to raising children into becoming good citizens. To be given the opportunity to pass on these wonderful traits to a new generation is what I am proudest of being a Filipino parent. If my children grow up to be good, happy, respectful and God-fearing people then I know that I have done my job and I have done it well.

I am a proud Filipino Parent because of the one uniquely Filipino trait that we can pass on to our children, being cheerful no matter what. Smiling no matter the circumstances.
