Injured mom breastfeeds her baby despite twisted, shattered leg

Despite figuring in a terrible motorcycle accident, an injured mom breastfeeds her baby, ignoring the physical pain caused by a broken leg

Warning: Graphic image ahead

An injured mom breastfeeds her baby after a terrible accident in Brazil and became a shining example of a mother’s unwavering selflessness.

According to reports, she had been in a terrible vehicular accident.

Even though the mom clearly needed medical attention, she fulfilled her duty as a mom first before anything else.

The inspiring moment when the injured mom breastfeeds her baby despite having a fractured leg and ankle was captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

Onlookers gathered around the mom, who was slumped to the ground at the site of a vehicular accident.

Upon closer inspection, the clip shows that her fractured leg and twisted ankle was bleeding as she continued to nurse her little one. She showed no discomfort even though her injuries were visibly extreme.

At one point, she even repositioned her little one to allow for a more comfortable feeding. She is living proof that a mother’s devotion to her child no matter what.

The importance of  celebrating mums who breastfeed in public

Not only is this story inspiring, it highlights the importance of celebrating breastfeeding mums who nurse in public even at the risk of being shamed or judged.

Moms are under immense pressure to care for their kids in the best way possible, so the last thing they need is to be judged for caring for their child in the most natural and beautiful way.

Sadly, shaming still happens worldwide.

One mom was shamed by her own parents for choosing to nurse in public and another was even almost arrested for it.

So it is a good thing that celebrities like Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel have spoken out against this type of shaming that is still rampant to this day.

“Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children,” Swanepoel wrote on Instagram. “I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places.”

“Breastfeeding is not sexual, it’s natural…”

“Breastfeeding is not sexual, it’s natural,” she emphasizes. “Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole.”

Breastfeeding moms need support. They deserve to be commended and not shamed by society.

The next time you see a breastfeeding mom in public, we should not make her feel like what she is doing is shameful.

We should celebrate this Brazilian woman and all the other moms like her, who despite their own doubts or discomfort, have devoted their whole being to making sure their little ones grow happy and healthy!
