Two weeks after Andi Eigenmann’s cousin, Max, confirmed that Jake Ejercito was indeed the father of Ellie, Jake has finally broken his silence.
The revelation comes as no surprise to many showbiz insiders and fans who have suspected that the close bond between Jake and 5-year-old Ellie was because of some deeper connection.
On October 2, Sunday, Jake posted a sweet photograph of the two of them with a message to “future Ellie”.
“There will have been a lot of things you’ve heard and read by now and I’m glad you’ve somehow stumbled upon this,” began Jake. “Cause this is one of the very few truths that matter.
“It may have taken me years to find out by myself, but I’ve been here for you even before your first precious breath – nothing and no one has or will ever change that.”
“Although words will certainly fail to express how much I love you, our love story is filled with fun, optimism, and immeasurable bliss.”

He then went on to reassure Ellie that she only good things to his life and he promised to “do the same to (her) a hundredfold.”
“Know that everything has been and will always be for you. And that I will hold your hand the whole way through,” wrote Jake.
He then went on to express his excitement for the time when Ellie grows up and starts asking him questions.
“Although words will certainly fail to express how much I love you, our love story is filled with fun, optimism, and immeasurable bliss,” he said in closing. “It’s a story of a million beautiful memories that no one can ever take away from us and I’d endlessly be proud to share it with you. As we always tell each other whenever we part ways or go to sleep, you will always be my princess and I, your first love.”

A month before his touching message, he shared this photo of Ellie sleeping peacefully with the caption: “There are a million memories I hope you won’t forget.”

In a statement sent to PEP two days before Jake’s emotional post, Andi spoke up about the issue.
“Recent events have put my daughter, Ellie, into the limelight with the media, netizens, and strangers questioning who her father is. I made a conscious choice to not talk about the paternity of my daughter in order to protect the privacy of Ellie.”
In the statement, she also clarified that although her daughter “was born into a showbiz family, as a mother, (she) would like to shield her from the intrigues and gossip that are part of this industry.”
She also emphasized that Ellie has always known who her father was and him being there for her as she grew up is really all that matters.
“I hope this will put the issue to rest, out of concern for my very young daughter,” urged Andi. “I’m requesting everyone to respect the privacy of Ellie.”
Though Jake didn’t directly confirm or deny paternity, it doesn’t really matter. Because regardless of what a paternity test says, one can clearly see that his love for Ellie is a father’s love.
