The 29-year-old single mom just marked another milestone in her adorable son Ethan Akio’s life, who just turned seven years old.
The party, which was adorably Batman-themed, was well attended by LJ and Aki’s family and friends, including LJ’s boyfriend Paolo Contis.
“Basta ang sa akin, lahat ng nagmamahal kay Aki, nandito. Lahat ng malapit sa puso ni Aki, nandito,” LJ told PEP when asked about the absence of Paulo Avelino, Aki’s dad.
When asked if she invited Paulo, she simply said, “Sa totoo lang, in a general sense, wala naman talaga akong ine-expect from him. Okay naman kami ni Aki. I think napaparamdam ko naman sa kanya ang love ng isang magulang. Yung love na kailangan niya, yun.”
In a past interview with GMA, LJ clarified that, although she and Paulo weren’t able to work things out, they remain united in raising their son.
Just earlier this year, in an interview with ABS-CBN news, Paulo clarified that he does make time for his son.
“Basta para sa anak ko, gagawa ako palagi ng oras. Gagawa at gagawa ako ng oras para sa anak ko,” he emphasized, adding how spending less time with Aki doesn’t mean he loves him less. “Basta ako, ito lang ang masasabi ko, mahal na mahal ko ang anak ko. At lagi akong available para sa anak ko.”

As for her birthday wish for her son, she says she always prays that God will guide Aki at all times.
“Sana lumaki siya na may takot sa Diyos—close and very strong relationship with God. Kasi hindi naman all the time kasama ko siya. Hindi ko naman siya mapu-protect all the time. Hindi ko naman siya maga-guide all the time, but if he has God in his heart, wala na kong poproblemahin pa. Hindi na ko masyadong magwu-worry,” shared LJ in another interview with PEP. “Blessed talaga kami to be surrounded with people na kahit anong mangyari sa aming dalawa, nandoon para mahalin kami, protektahan kami. Sobrang blessed talaga kami ni Aki.”
