While on stage in Auckland, New Zealand, iconic singer Madonna surprised her fans by beginning to talk about the pain of losing her son, Rocco.
Back in December 2015, 15-year-old Rocco moved to London to live with his dad, Madonna’s ex-hubsand, director Guy Ritchie.
Despite Madonna’s pleadings and many efforts which include a court order, Rocco has chosen to stay with his dad.
“If I talk about him too much I will cry. I hope he hears this somewhere and he knows how much I miss him.”, the singer added, her voice breaking, before dedicating her song ‘La Vie En Rose’.
The crowd cheers as if to show their support for their beloved idol.
“An amicable negotiated resolution is definitely the way forward and in Rocco’s best interests,” said the judge presiding over the custody case in a hearing in the U.K. “Unfortunately, Rocco will have to experience additional emotional upset.”
Though Madonna has reportedly accepted the court’s decision, she still longs to have some involvement in Rocco’s life, just to ensure his well-being and that he’s supported financially.
