Michelle Van Eimeren immensely grateful to Regine Velasquez: "I can trust her with my daughters"

Michelle Van Eimeren immensely grateful to Regine Velasquez: "I can trust her with my daughters"

It’s truly admirable how Aussie beauty queen Michelle Van Eimeren and ex-husband Ogie Alcasid are winning at co-parenting, but what’s even more inspiring is how she’s maintained a close relationship with Ogie’s wife Regine Velasquez.

When Michelle and Ogie’s eldest daughter, 18-year-old Leila decided to pursue her dreams of entering showbiz, Regine welcomed her into their home with open arms.

During an interview on Magandang Buhay, Michelle got emotional when she watched a video message from Ogie.

“Chelle, thank so much for the trust that you have given Regine and I to take care of Leila at this time,” he said in the touching clip. “It matters to us that you trust us and we love you so dearly for that.”

A tearful Michelle expressed just how lucky she is that Ogie and Regine are so kind.

Continuing, she expressed how happy she is that Leila’s “Mama Reg” is so kind. In a previous interview, she even called her the “best stepmom ever.”

Though she can’t be by her daughter’s side as she pursues her dreams, she takes comfort in the fact that she’s in good hands.

At alam ko I can trust her with my daughters,” she says of Regine.

She also praised Ogie for being a great dad.

Ogie and Michelle tied the knot in 1996 and had two kids before calling it quits in 2007. Two years after that, Michelle remarried. Ogie and Regine Velasquez wed in 2010.
