REAL STORIES: "I thought I had preterm birth it turns out that I missed calculated my period"

Here's a story of a mom who thought she had a preterm birth and will have a premature baby, it turns out that she had the wrong due date.

My pregnancy Journey in the year 2021 was a difficult one because I had a history of miscarriage year 2020. We’re trying to conceive every month but still the results are the same “NEGATIVE”. On February 6, 2021, I took a pregnancy test again and when I opened my eyes I was shocked. I saw two visible lines so it means “POSITIVE”. I went through many tests during my pregnancy just to confirm that I am really pregnant and “YES” the doctor confirmed it and ask me some questions like when was my last menstruation period I told her last January 6, 2021, and she told me that my estimated due date was on October 13, 2021.

However, my OB-GYN doctor suggested that I should be away from stress and take full bed rest so that it won’t happen again during my second pregnancy. I followed the advice and I never missed an appointment for my prenatal check-up. “Hearing the sound of the heartbeat of my baby was like music to my ears”. During my ultrasound, my doctor said it was a baby girl. This time I was also preparing my baby’s clothes with my maternity bag.

On September 11, 2021, while I was sitting I felt something down and a leaking water flowed through my legs. My family rushed me to the hospital and the nurse did an I.E and I was already 7cm at that time. While I’m inside the labor room I am praying for the safety of my baby. After I gave birth to my baby girl I asked the doctor if my child was fine, she said yes she was fine and she was not premature, it’s a full-term baby you just lost count of your last menstruation period. I felt so blessed after I heard it.
