Iconic singer Gary V has been many things over the course of his career in showbiz, which has spanned over 30 years. He’s been a singer, dancer, host, and actor but he has been, first and foremost, a dad to his three kids Paolo, Gab, and Kiana.
Now, he’s assumed a new role and it’s one he’s embracing with open arms. On November 2, 2016, he welcomed his first grandchild, Nataleia Martine. Take a look at some of the newborn’s most precious photos.

Both Star Wars fans, Paolo and Sam chose the nickname Leia, a nod to the film’s heroine. They also set up a private Instagram account for their little one.

Proud grandma Angeli shared this adorable moment as Paolo passes Leia into Gary’s arms to hold for the first time. “Three generations! Gary Pao and our precious Leia! Gary receiving his grandchild to carry for the first time from our firstborn PaoloV!” gushed Angeli on Instagram.

An overwhelmed Gary took to his own Instagram to express just how much joy the birth of Leia has brought to his life.
“I was 20yrs of age when I had my first son Paolo,” began Gary, who turned 52 in August.”On Nov 2, 2016, at a little past 1am, Sam gave birth to their first born baby girl Leia.
Thank you everyone…it’s such a different feeling.
Being more mature and a lot older today, I feel certain things I didn’t feel when I was a lot younger. These are feelings and emotions that have registered in my heart for the very first time.
It’s a day of many many firsts.
My first born has his first child. First time to be welcomed into the world of grandparenthood.”
“I’m beyond blessed to have witnessed the ushering in of a new soul into our family today. I will always love you Paolo and Sam…and Leia.”
“My first grandchild. First time to feel all that I mentioned earlier.
But no matter what words I choose to express and describe the feeling of seeing my daughter-in-law waving her hands at us as she was being rolled in to the delivery room; my son putting on his scrubs to be with her for the procedure; to hear, in the quiet corridors of the delivery rooms, the cry of a child being welcomed into the world. To see nurses walking by with the hope that there’s news for us to hear. The first time to see my son walk out of the delivery room with the nurse who handed Leia to him for him to carry…the thought of which still brings tears to my eyes,” continued Gary in his heartfelt Instagram post.

“These are all just a few of the things that perhaps occurred when Pao was born but this time I’m with him to witness him react to arrival of his first.
In all honesty…there is a joy inexplicable as I replay the sequences of Nov 1…and 2. All I know is that it was ALL SOULS DAY…and I’m beyond blessed to have witnessed the ushering in of a new soul into our family today. I will always love you Paolo and Sam…and Leia.”
