About a year ago, cartoonist/mommy Alison Wong created a series of hilarious illustrations in an attempt to poke fun at her now role as a mother. The result was the "lol-worthy" creation called
New Mom Comics.
Since sharing her hysterical illustrations with the internet, the popular webcomic series has gone viral! Now, she's expanding her work, and collecting her best (and most accurate comics) into book called, New Mom Comics: The First Year.
In an interview with The Huffington Post, Wong shared the inspiration behind the comics, and why she chose illustrate the frustration and hilarity behind year one: "I created New Mom Comics because it was what I wished I had as a new parent: a humorous companion to add to the blur of taking care of a newborn."
"I decided to make a book of the first year because it’s a really transformative time and the first birthday is a great milestone to cap it off. Each comic is like a condensed story, so having them in an album is richer and really brings it all together," she added.
