Thank you for spoiling us, but most importantly, thank you for teaching us what genuine love means.
It’s a harsh world. There are people who will step on you to get ahead and sometimes, you won’t even realize it until you’re bruised and beat down.
In your arms, there is no judgment. We are not defined by our occupation, relationship status, or our weight.
Though no matter what we do, you would say we’re either too fat or too thin. Don’t worry, we get that this is how you make lambing.
Thank you for making sure we are fed and loved, but you nurture us in so many more ways.
You help us see our potential and value hard work, confident in the knowledge that no matter how cold and mean the world can be, we can always come home to you.

It’s amazing how the past decades haven’t left you jaded. It’s so easy to lose faith in the world and in people. Thank you for teaching us to focus on the good.
