Struggling breastfeeding mom Rufa Mae Quinto thanks Mariel Padilla for sharing her breast milk

New mom Rufa Mae expressed just how thankful she is to her friend Mariel Padilla, who donated her own breastmilk for baby Alexandria

Breastfeeding mom Mariel Rodriguez knows what it’s like to struggle with low milk supply. Who can forget that heartbreaking Instagram clip of her crying in frustration while video chatting with her husband about her lack of milk supply? Thankfully, she recovered and managed to produce more milk.

When one of her friends Rufa Mae encountered the same struggle, Mariel didn’t hesitate to help her out.

The comedic actress expressed her gratitude on Instagram, writing: “Thanks @marieltpadilla for giving and sharing @alexandriamagallanes your milk kagabi, naka-survive baby ko hanggang kanina, sakto lumabas ang milk ko, di na magugutom anak ko.”

In a later post, Rufa Mae happily reported that she’s adjusting to nursing her baby.

“Kaya thank you Lord for giving me a milk so I can feed my child. thanks everyone for the prayers and support,” she wrote. “Still recovering guys, todo na ‘to!”

The new mom also thanked Mariel’s husband, actor Robin Padilla, for paying tribute to breastfeeding moms helping each other out through a short video.

“Nanganak si Rufa Mae, wala pang breast milk,” wrote the actor. “Saklolo si Mariel. Nagpadala ng gatas at nursing system kaya’t busog na nakatulog si Alexandria.”

In the sweet video, Robin also revealed that Mariel’s friend Camille Villar helped her when she was struggling to produce milk.

“Kulang sa breast milk. Saklolo si Camille Villar. Nagpadala ng pangmalakasan na pump. Tagumpay ang supply,” Robin recalled, adding that the three breastfeeding moms are “tunay na magkakaibigan” and “breast friends.”
