The actor and dad-of-two is happily settled with longtime partner and fellow actor, Eva Mendes but he just can’t seem to stop stealing hearts.
In an interview with the Evening Standard, the 35-year-old actor recounted a childhood growing up surrounded by strong mother and sister, his parents having divorced at an early age.
Now, he is a dad to two beautiful girls, one-year-old Esmeralda and 1-month-old Amada.
This experience taught him just how much more resilient women are. “I think women are better than men. They are stronger, more evolved,” he says in the interview.
He continued, “You can tell especially when you have daughter and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.”
His message to men who are feeling out of place? Well, they should get used to it.
“It’s our time as men to be on the receiving end of the stick,” he says. “I grew up with women so I’ve always been aware of it. When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars. It was very, very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory — a hunt.”
