Hayden Kho opens up about wanting to protect Scarlet Snow by making social media accounts

Hayden Kho opens up about wanting to protect Scarlet Snow by making social media accounts

Even before Scarlet was born, Hayden knew he wanted her to be on social media to share their joy with their fans and to protect her as well

With over a million of followers on Instagram and nearly a million likes on her official Facebook page, Scarlet Snow is truly a social media sensation.

The adorable two year old daughter of celebrity doctors Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho may not be the first celebritot with an online following, but what’s interesting is the motivation behind these accounts.

In a recent interview with DZMM, hands-on dad Hayden shared that he believes it’s part of his responsibility as a father to protect his little girl by managing her social media.

“When it comes to the social media of Scarlet, medyo ako nga ‘yong (nagma-manage) parang ganoon. Parang I give myself the main responsibility of protecting Scarlet and taking care of Scarlet. So in a way you can say na ako ‘yung may control noong social media,” explained Hayden.

Hayden acknowledges that, as a public figure, his and Vicki’s fans would naturally want to get to know his adorable little girl more.

“Ang iniisip ko ngayon, paano ko ngayon po-protektahan si Scarlet from social media because social media will not go away,” he added.

In doing so, Hayden and Vicki also manage to shield Scarlet from those who would make fake accounts and take advantage of her growing popularity. He recalls the incident that happened to another celebrity kid, who he chooses not to name. Someone created a fake account and used it to solicit cash and gifts, tricking netizens into thinking it was the kid’s real account. The celebrity kid’s family had no idea that his reputation was being put at risk.

He didn’t want the same to happen to Scarlet, so he planned ahead.

“…if you have been given that privilege and that responsibility na alagaan at palakihin ang isang ganitong ka-precious na bata, you better shape up, hindi ba?”

“What if someone made a fake account? Paano kung ninakaw na ‘yung identity niya sa social media? So before pa lang ipinanganak si Scarlet, ni-reserve ko na lahat ng names sa Facebook, kahit hindi ko siya gamitin. Naka-reserve na siya sa Instagram, sa lahat. Kinuha ko na ‘yung IP parang ganoon. Now in the future kung gusto niyang gumamit nandoon ang pangalan niya available,” he shared.

“Sa akin if you have been given that privilege and that responsibility na alagaan at palakihin ang isang ganitong ka-precious na bata, you better shape up, hindi ba? Kailangan maayos ang pamumuhay mo,” he stated, adding that kids look up to their parents. They see how you treat others. Teaching them the right values means living and modeling them daily.

I woke up early this morning and wanted to sing this song for you. It’s my new favorite because it reminds us that even though we all look different, we live in the same one small world and need the love and care of the same One Big God. Good morning, everyone!

“Ipakilala mo siya sa tamang Diyos,” he advises parents. “At pangalawa, iparamdam mo sa kanya, ipakita mo sa kanya na mahal mo siya. Kasi kung hindi mo iparamdam sa kanya na mahal mo siya, kahit anong gawin mo diyan eh hindi siya matututo.”
