Shocking! Baby girl found thrown on a roadside covered with ants!

20 Oct, 2017

In an absolutely gruesome news coming in from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh in India, a baby girl was found thrown in a roadside garbage pit in Bhopal.

The tiny infant was found with bruises all over her body. The girl was discovered abandoned near a ministers’ house in 74 Bungalow area in Bhopal’s TT Nagar.

Because the little baby was left in an isolated area with no CCTV cameras nearby, the police has not been able to obtain much information on the whereabouts of the girl. It is still to be found out who left the baby in such deplorable condition on the street.

The brave baby continues to fight for her life at the JP Hospital in Bhopal. She is currently undergoing treatment at the sick New Born Care Unit in the hospital.

The baby was attacked by insects and ants…

According to the doctors treating the abandoned baby, her condition has marginally improved from the time that she was brought to the hospital. However the baby still remains critical and is kept on artificial oxygen to help her breathe.

It is indeed disheartening that in India, gory news such as this one is a common occurrence and babies are often left abandoned. In this case, the baby was rescued by locals when they heard her crying. What remains extremely heart-breaking is that the new-born baby was attacked by insects and ants and suffered injuries and bruises all over her body.

JP Hospital’s doctor Sunil Kumar, while speaking to ANI had said: “There are multiple injuries on baby girl’s body; condition remains critical even now.”

A local tea-seller in the area, heard the baby wailing in the early hours of the morning and found the infant’s head protruding out of the garbage bin wrapped in a polythene bag. Ants and insects had covered her fragile body and the locals rushed her to the hospital.

There are fears that the parents may have abandoned the baby because they may have yearned for a boy child. The baby was severely underweight and weighed only 1.5 kgs when she was brought to the hospital.

The police are trying to trace the baby’s parents. The little soul continues to fight for her life as we all pray that she survives this abhorring tragedy and finds a safe and happy home to grow up in.
