The attack took place in Tbilisi, Georgia and video footage of the incident has gone viral. The culprit has now been arrested.

The father runs at this mad woman but backs away, when she threatens him with the knife.

According to news reports, the boy was rushed to hospital by ambulance, where he was treated for cuts to his nose and cheek.

The woman apparently fled the scene then, but soon got arrested. She has been charged with intentional infliction of grave injury to the health of a minor and faces up to ten years in prison. The boy’s parents said they had never met her before, and didn’t know the motive for the attack.
