Half a year after news of their split made headlines, it seems that Sunshine Dizon and ex-husband Timothy Tan are taking their first steps to mending their relationship.
A few days before Christmas, Timothy released a public apology to his estranged wife.
In a statement supplied to PEP, Timothy’s lawyer Attorney Peter Sanchez wrote: “In the spirit of Christmas, Sunshine and Timothy have decided to settle their differences.”
“With profound remorse, I sincerely apologize for the pain and embarrassment I have caused my wife Sunshine and our two children. I deeply regret having been the cause of their suffering…”
With it, he attached Timothy’s apology.
“With profound remorse, I sincerely apologize for the pain and embarrassment I have caused my wife Sunshine and our two children. I deeply regret having been the cause of their suffering. I assure Sunshine that my family is very important to me. I will do whatever it takes to avoid similar incident in the future.”
Despite saying that there will be no forgiveness for her husband for his past infidelity in past interviews, Sunshine Dizon has accepted his apology. However, she clarifies, that they haven’t fully patched things up.
The mom of two has filed a case against her ex-husband, suing him for concubinage and violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Law.
In response, Sunshine also sent a statement of her own to PEP, expressing how much she appreciates the fact that he reached out publicly.
“I appreciate Tim’s public apology, and I accept it in the spirit of Christmas and for the sake of our two children,” she wrote in her statement.
Sunshine spent the holidays with her two kids, Doreen and Anton, and her mom, Dorothy.
