ABS-CBN’s Star Studio magazine recently threw a nautical-themed baby shower for expectant mom Toni Gonzaga at The Loft in Manansala, Rockwell last August 3, 2016.
StarStudio’s executive editor Ian Reyno gave theAsianparent a sneak peek into the event.
Before the program started, Toni’s father-in-law Jeric Soriano, who’s a pastor, led the opening prayer.

In attendance were her ABS-CBN friends Jolina Magdangal, Iza Calzado, Sarah Lahbati, and Mariel Rodriguez—just to name a few.

Mariel has been a close friend of Toni’s since their 2005 co-hosting stint on the first season of Pinoy Big Brother. She is also expecting her first baby with husband, actor Robin Padilla.

Actress Iza Calzado also graced the event. She fondly calls Toni, “Ginny”—which was the name of her character in the blockbuster hit ‘Starting Over Again’, where they both starred alongside Piolo Pascual.

There were a lot of fun games such as “Guess What’s in the Baby Bag” as well as a baby bottle race, the particpants of which were Toni and Paul’s dads and a few other male guests.
After the games, guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet courtesy of Shekinah catering services.

In keeping with tradtion, Toni took time to open some gifts and during the program; some of Toni and Paul’s closest family and friends gave heartwarming speeches dedicated to the soon-to-be parents.

Toni is expected to give birth during the last quarter of 2016.
