TOP-RATED MIND S-COOL TV TO LAUNCH SEASON 6 – TIME TRAVELING TO TACKLE HEALTH TOPICS FOR FILIPINO FAMILIES

MIND S-COOL TV Premiere of Season 6 airs on Cignal TV’s ONE PH Ch.1 on July 9, Sunday, 11:00 am and replays at 4:30 pm (Philippines). It can also be streamed on the Mind S-Cool YouTube channel.

What if you had a “dream school” that gave you a history of health care in 6 amazing stories of travel through time and space?

That is exactly what MIND S-COOL, co-presented with Merck, will do for Filipino audiences when Season 6 launches on July 9 on Cignal.

For the first time in the history of Philippine television, a whole season of an educational science show suited for Filipino audiences will focus on the most dominant concerns of Filipinos regarding health and treatment. It will probe what science knows so far about them and what we do not, including popular myths or fake news on health, and how we can manage our health with the help of experts.

Season 6 Health: Facts and Myths will have the following episodes:

Episode 1: Brief History of Medicine

Episode 2: What are drugs? And what do they do to the body?

Episode 3: What are the links and differences between traditional and modern medicine?

Episode 4: What are some of the categories of drugs and why do some require prescriptions?

Episode 5: What is “proper diet, sleep and exercise” and why are they always included in health recommendations?

Episode 6: Are all health issues only “medical”?

Through the episodes, we will have 4 questers, Pecier, Mikee, Mario and Megan, travel with Manong Guard and guest characters who embody medical experts, travel back even to ancient times to meet the pioneers who studied how to care for and treat the human body.  They will go back and forth across local current scenes to shine a light on medical “truths” we take for granted such as medicines, prescriptions, why hospitals even exist, traditional “remedies” and so many more.

As has been past Seasons of MSC TV, the script for Season 6 has been most creatively written, reviewed and vetted by experts. All the episodes have passionately been executed with special treatments that are culturally sensitive, especially to Filipino audiences, especially families.

MSC TV is proud and very inspired to have earned the trust of over 11 million views largely through shared family viewing since we started in 2020. It is the ONLY dedicated science show in the Top 10 educational shows in the latest Nielsen Survey. It also was given a top international award by the Asia-Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centers in 2022.
