"Wais na misis" tipid ideas from actress Neri Naig

Neri Naig, wife of Parokya ni Edgar's vocalist Chito Miranda, may very well be one of the most sophisticated faces in showbiz today. But, off-cam, this classy lady is one wais na misis! Be inspired by her awesome tipid ideas, here.

Neri Naig, wife of Parokya ni Edgar‘s vocalist Chito Miranda, may very well be one of the most sophisticated faces in showbiz today.

But, off-cam, this classy lady is one wais na misis! It’s no wonder Chito is smitten!

Not only does Neri have excellent taste in home decor. She also has a knack for finding the best deals in town!

In fact, Neri has made a beautiful home for herself and Chito with a lot of bargain items. She even has some wonderful pieces made from junk!

View from our receiving area… #VeryNeri #HomeWithNeri #home #house #homedecor #interior #interiordesignideas

Here’s a few home-decorating ideas from Neri:

Home furniture

Neri used to frequent Japan surplus shops, where she bought this gorgeous TV cabinet for their bedroom for only PhP 2,600.

#WaisNaMisis #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri #VeryNeri

This wooden dresser and comfy chair set was bought from an obscure store in Mendez for only PhP 4,000. What makes it more of a bargain, though, is the fact that the mirror can be shut closed and converted into a writing table.

Nabili ko yung dresser ko ng 4k. Tapos pwede pa siyang gawing writing desk kase nabababa yung mirror. Saka laging may sale. #WaisNaMisis #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri #VeryNeri #NerisJournal

Here’s a picture of the same dresser.

Excited na akong simulang basahin ang The Rosie Project. Since marami akong ginawa these past few days, kagabi ko lang natapos basahin ang The Girl On The Train, at matatapos mo siyang basahin sa isang upuan lang. #WaisNaMisis #MgaKwentoNiAteNeri #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri #ProbinsyanangNeri #SimplengBuhayNgMirandas #SimpleWifeSimpleLife #NerisJournal

Neri’s guests are sure to have a good night’s sleep in this bunk bed. Neri had this made in Sta. Rosa–three beds in one for only PhP 12,000!

#WaisNaMisis #VeryNeri #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri

This is another TV table that Neri was able to buy at a bargain.

From P3,500 nakuha ko ng P2,000,” Neri said.

(I bought a TV stand for our dining area…Of course I had to haggle. From P3, 500 I got it for P2, 000.)

Wow! Pretty impressive bargaining skills!

Masarap mag ikot ikot sa Sta Rosa Highway (going to Tagaytay). Nagustuhan ko agad ‘to. Syempre kailangang tumawad. May karakter! Naks! Mahaba din yung tv stand, 37 inches din. #WaisNaMisis #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri #ProbinsyanangNeri #SimplengBuhayNgMirandas #SimpleWifeSimpleLife

Neri turned this small space into a simple yet classy reading nook with this set of table and chairs for only PhP5, 000.

Our mini library. ???? I got our table and chairs set for only 5k pesos. Our book shelves for 10k pesos only. #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri #Simple #VeryNeri #WaisNaMisis

What a steal! This classic china cabinet came from a thrift shop in Sta. Rosa.

I got my china cabinet at a thrift shop somewhere along Sta.Rosa going up to Tagaytay. Simple, classic looking, and best of all, not that expensive. ???? #HomeWithNeri #VeryNeri #WaisNaMisis

Click next to see what what Neri did with a tree stump and a wooden spool from a junk shop

From a trunk and some junk

Fallen trees in their subdivision served as a base for this gun table for Chito. The table top is made from a wooden spool that Neri bought from a junk shop for only PhP 180.

Gun table for my asawa. Hehe! #HomeIdeasByNeri #HomeWithNeri #VeryNeri #FeelingInteriorDesigner #Simple #WaisNaMisis #simplengbuhayngmirandas #probinsyanangneri

Home and kitchen accessories

Neri completed her Christmas decor with this ridiculously cheap train set.

Nabili ko yung tren for P90 only. #HomeWithNeri #VeryNeri #WaisNaMisis #HomeIdeasByNeri

Neri fell in love with this cake stand with glass cover, and kept on going back to the store to look at it. Not one to ask Chito for extra money, Neri bought this with whatever money she could spare from her grocery budget.

I love you! You are the best! Hehe! #VeryNeri #HomeWithNeri #MgaKwentoNiAteNeri #ChitoNeri #SimplengBuhayNgMirandas

Neri’s other wais na misis moments

Neri keeps meals simple. Here’s a typical spread on Neri’s table. But this doesn’t mean that Neri won’t splurge on a special meal for her hubby Chito every once in a while.

Maaga agang lunch naming mag asawa. Saraaaaaaaaaaaaaap!

A photo posted by Neri Miranda (@little_lulu___) on May 21, 2016 at 7:23pm PDT

So how does Neri manage to prepare those special meals for Chito? She keeps her utility bills low so that she can have more money for food.

Magsisinigang na hipon ako, mag oven roasted pork belly, at saka sweet and sour fish ako. #HomeWithNeri #WhenAnAtenistaMeetsAProbinsyana #ChitoNeri

To minimize expenses over the holidays, Neri uses manila paper to wrap her gifts.

Kayo? Anong regalo nyo sa mga mister or boyfriends nyo? Baka makakuha ako ng idea. #WaisNaMisis #VeryNeri #HomeWithNeri

Business from Neri’s kitchen

Aside from acting, Neri also earns money with her gourmet tuyo, homemade cookies, and other small enterprises.

#Repost @little_lulu___ ・・・ Goooooood morning! Nakakatuwa kase nagugustuhan nyo. #DreamFarmNiNeri #NerisCottage #SipagAtTyagaAngPuhunan
