Neri Naig, wife of Parokya ni Edgar‘s vocalist Chito Miranda, may very well be one of the most sophisticated faces in showbiz today.
But, off-cam, this classy lady is one wais na misis! It’s no wonder Chito is smitten!
Not only does Neri have excellent taste in home decor. She also has a knack for finding the best deals in town!
In fact, Neri has made a beautiful home for herself and Chito with a lot of bargain items. She even has some wonderful pieces made from junk!

Here’s a few home-decorating ideas from Neri:
Home furniture
Neri used to frequent Japan surplus shops, where she bought this gorgeous TV cabinet for their bedroom for only PhP 2,600.

This wooden dresser and comfy chair set was bought from an obscure store in Mendez for only PhP 4,000. What makes it more of a bargain, though, is the fact that the mirror can be shut closed and converted into a writing table.

Here’s a picture of the same dresser.
Excited na akong simulang basahin ang The Rosie Project. Since marami akong ginawa these past few days, kagabi ko lang natapos basahin ang The Girl On The Train, at matatapos mo siyang basahin sa isang upuan lang. #WaisNaMisis #MgaKwentoNiAteNeri #HomeWithNeri #HomeIdeasByNeri #ProbinsyanangNeri #SimplengBuhayNgMirandas #SimpleWifeSimpleLife #NerisJournal

Neri’s guests are sure to have a good night’s sleep in this bunk bed. Neri had this made in Sta. Rosa–three beds in one for only PhP 12,000!

This is another TV table that Neri was able to buy at a bargain.
From P3,500 nakuha ko ng P2,000,” Neri said.
(I bought a TV stand for our dining area…Of course I had to haggle. From P3, 500 I got it for P2, 000.)
Wow! Pretty impressive bargaining skills!

From a trunk and some junk
Fallen trees in their subdivision served as a base for this gun table for Chito. The table top is made from a wooden spool that Neri bought from a junk shop for only PhP 180.

Neri fell in love with this cake stand with glass cover, and kept on going back to the store to look at it. Not one to ask Chito for extra money, Neri bought this with whatever money she could spare from her grocery budget.

Neri’s other wais na misis moments
Neri keeps meals simple. Here’s a typical spread on Neri’s table. But this doesn’t mean that Neri won’t splurge on a special meal for her hubby Chito every once in a while.

So how does Neri manage to prepare those special meals for Chito? She keeps her utility bills low so that she can have more money for food.
Magsisinigang na hipon ako, mag oven roasted pork belly, at saka sweet and sour fish ako. #HomeWithNeri #WhenAnAtenistaMeetsAProbinsyana #ChitoNeri

Nakakatuwa kase nagugustuhan nyo. #DreamFarmNiNeri #NerisCottage #SipagAtTyagaAngPuhunan
