At first glance, it may seem just like any regular logic puzzle but you’ll be surprised to know that many adults can’t solve it while 80% of children can solve it almost instantly.
The simple question is: Which way is the bus going?
The puzzle was featured in an episode of National Geographic’s Brain Games. Looking at both ends of the photo, it seems that they are identical.
The windows and wheels seem like mirror images of one another but the answer is not what’s there; it’s what’s isn’t there.
It’s the door, or lack thereof.
Since there is no visible entrance then the bus must be travelling to the left.
If the bus were travelling right, the entrance door would be visible in the photo.
National Geographic showed it to a number of kids and 80% of them answered it correctly almost instantly.
But why is it easy for kids?
It remains unclear why kids find this brain teaser which stumps many adults so easily. But previous studies have posited that kids are more willing to guess based on incomplete information as opposed to adults.
