10-Year-old learns CPR from a movie, uses it to save his brother's life

The 10-year-old saved his brother's life after learning CPR from watching San Andreas, a blockbuster film starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

10-year-old Jacob O’Connor unwittingly became a hero after he performed CPR on his 2-year-old brother after he saw him drowning. The more amazing thing is that Jacob never underwent CPR training, he learned how to do it by imitating what he saw from a movie!

He knew that his brother was in a bad state

According to Jacob, he found his 2-year-old brother lying face down in the pool. He knew that his brother was in a bad state, and he figured out that he had to give his brother CPR after seeing a similar scenario in a movie that he watched.

The movie that he learned CPR from was “San Andreas,” a film that starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Jacob shares, “There was an earthquake, then it caused a tsunami and then there was a daughter that was drowning and he had to get her out and he did the same thing.”

Because of Jacob’s quick thinking, he was able to save his brother, and after spending 2 days in the hospital, 2-year-old Dylan is now safely back home.

“The Rock” thanked him personally

News of Jacob’s amazing deed soon found its way to “The Rock” himself, and he set out to personally thank Jacob for his good deed.

“The Rock” invited Jacob and his family to visit him on the set of his upcoming movie, and there they bonded and talked about Jacob’s heroic deeds.

His mother shared, “Wait, I am just calling Jacob a hero because I’m a proud mom and he’s my son? Then I said, no wait.. he IS a real hero for saving his brother’s life.”
