Fever Care Tips We Learned From Our Moms

Fever Care Tips We Learned From Our Moms

In this article, we revisit some fever care remedies from our moms that we have learned and have grown up with.

One of the many ways we experience a mother’s love is when they care for us in times of sickness. There are remedies we’ve grown up with and have gotten used to, and we find ourselves passing them down to our children when it’s our turn to care for them.

Here are some fever remedies made better through a mother’s touch:

Warm Soup

Whether it’s a creamy mushroom soup, or tinola that’s loaded with nutritious ginger and moringa, having a warm, home-cooked bowl of soup can lift spirits up and heal on different levels.

Bed Rest

While the body’s immune system is busy fighting off a virus or infection, bed rest is needed so it can heal properly. Having mom close by can be a source of solace while experiencing the aches and pains of fever.

Cooling Patches and Towels

It offers almost instant comfort witnessing the ritual of wet washcloths being prepared; soaked, wringed, and folded before being applied lovingly on the forehead. The sound of water can be relaxing, and made even better through the hands of a loved one.

Hydration

While constantly being reminded to drink more fluids, a mother’s love takes it a step further by offering solutions that are better. Moms see the areas that might have been overlooked otherwise.

hydration

There are many factors to consider when selecting a hydrating solution, and you can trust in doctor- recommended Vivity. Vivity is filled with electrolytes that can help with normal cell, nerve, and muscle function, and also contains carbohydrates that can help provide energy. 8 out of 10 kids love the Apple and Orange flavors, so you can be sure that your child still enjoys and gets that extra TLC, while hydration eases the discomfort experienced during fever.
